CEJJF was created to ensure that the benefits of Illinois’ clean energy transition reach the people, businesses, and communities that have too often been left out of economic opportunity. As Illinois’ nonprofit green bank, we are building pathways to capital that help clean energy businesses grow, families lower their energy costs, and frontline communities participate in and benefit from the clean energy economy.

Our 2026–2028 Strategic Plan lays out the roadmap for that work, centered around five priorities: expanding access to capital, reducing energy burdens, advancing an equitable workforce, strengthening policies that support an equitable energy transition, and building a strong, sustainable organization.

Developed through two years of listening and engagement, the plan reflects our commitment to building CEJJF alongside the contractors, communities, municipalities, and partners we serve.
